Julian:
How much time do you have to devote to your web site. It is not just a
matter of putting up a site and having the customer come running to it. It
just doesn't happen that way.

Creating a site that sells takes time and a lot of work. You have to be
constantly adding new content to the site. People want information. They
want to get to know you and trust you before they spend their money.

There is a saying that to make a site profitable you have to remember 4
things. Give, Give, Give and then Give some more.

There are hundreds of sites selling artwork and most of them have yet to
make a sale. I for one have had a site up for over 4 years and have yet to
make any significant sales. I spend 3 to 4 hours a day working on marketing
my artists.

This takes away from production time. If you can find someone who will
display your work on their site for a commission you may be better off.

This will save you quite a bit of money from the web hosting side and free
up your time.
