Free RiP?

Free RiP?

2003-09-12 by Jerry Hadam

Hello,
I read your post about Mac, 2200 and the Quad RIP working great. As I have
just ordered a 2200 and am on a Mac this is quite relevant to me.

Someone else posted a question about the RIP but I did not see the reply. I
am on the digest and don't get everything in the order intended sometime.

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

Jerry

Jerry,
think you pushed the wrong button, I emailed you the info.
Just in case anyone else wants the url for Roy Harringtons Quadtone RIP, it is available
as a free download from
http://harrington.com/QuadToneRIP.html
Please note that there is a lot on info in recent posts about the RIP. It is for Macs and
Pc's running LINUX, not MS anything.
I purchased a Mac so that i could print with it and I am over the moon with the
results.

Regards,

Barry

Jerry,
I had started the thread about OSX and 2200. Since then I updated to
10.2.6 and 2200 seems to be working. I haven't had time to run a good
print through but the printer is responding and printing.
I've had really great results WITHOUT IP using 9.2 with Epson's
profile. If IP weren't so pricey I might have gone for it but you may
want to consider seeing how happy you are with the Epson driver first
before laying out the cash for IP5.
