Epson RIP

Has anyone tried the Epson RIP for the 2200, and if so what has their experience been? Like everyone else, I'm trying to do b&w without my prints going green or magenta in natural light. I'm looking for a reasonably priced alternative, and would like to avoid having to use use a $500+ RIP or non Epson inks. Any info would be appreciated.
