MIS continuous/cartridges combination

I just received my CFS from MIS with ultratone inks for my 1280. My concern about the whole system when I was getting ready to buy was that I wouldn't be able to switch easily between matte and glossy blacks, so after talking with them over the phone, the solution seemed to be to keep black running on cartridges, and CFS on color only. So here I am with the CFS installed in place of the color cartridge, and a black cartridge in. The problem is that I can't put the tie wrap over both the CFS color and the black cartridge, or I'll have to take it off everytime I want to switch cartridges. And I can't put it around the CFS only, it just won't fit. In addition, having the CFS next to a regular cartridge does not really leave enough room for the tubes so they're kind of stuck against the cartridge. Was this setup a mistake? Is there a better way to deal with switching between black inks? Should I stick to only one type? Thanks! Manu
