Digital BW, The Print

I (gently) pulled the printer apart and forced some Windex through the print heads after trying the cleaning cycles suggested at MIS troubleshooting.  Since the Windex goes through alright I started looking around.

Where does this tube belong?  I suspect it is supposed to help with the suction and think maybe it's out of place?
