First Show

2003-11-09 by B. Alex Pettit Jr.

Hi All,
Just got back from a day in the Florida sun.

The photos were well received - the positive
comments conveyed showed many were very impressed
with the quality of the prints.

Most did not ask the method of printing,
those that did seemed fine with carbon inks and
the 'hybrid' film to digital technique. I was
initially somewhat apprehensive, but from my
responses today, I really feel carbon prints can
stand up next to silver without an excuse.

Best,
Alex

( and yes, I did sell several )

Having visited Alex at the show and seeing some of his new work, I can
say they were very good.

Alex, congratulations on selling a few pieces. Especially since it
didn't look to me like a "fine art black and white" crowd.
