I do not think so.  If one color is consistently printing wrong (after 
cleaning with windex, soaking and multiple cleaning cycles) it's a 
pretty good indication that the head is gone.  Replacing the ink by the 
pigmented ink (even if it's not a thicker ink at all) will not solve the 
head problem IMHO>

are you asking about leaving out the light cyan and light magenta inks
so your hextone printer functions as a quadtone..?

seems like it would take some fooling around with curve adjustments
and what not, but it sounds possible to me..!

Tom, This is kind of what I was thinking, but to turn it into a B+W quadtone set. I am 
sure it would take a bit of messing about with the curves. I am only trying to 
jumpstart some ideas for people with dying but once expensive printers. 

I guess it would all depend on which inks went out. If Black goes out I think it would 
not work.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
