Digital BW, The Print

Hello,

I recently visited  American Framing Co. web site 
(www.americanframe.com)  to see what would be involved in 
properly  framing my new BO prints.   They have a section 
devoted to framing projects a photographer might be interested 
in trying. Interestingly, they described a method of framing that  
positions the forward matte away from the image, such that  the 
image looks suspended.  They mentioned that it is a very 
popular trend now in b&w displays.  Very interesting, sorta like 
the opposite of digital  "drop shadow". 

Has anyone tried this method of framing?
