I apologize if this has been covered before, but I seem to remember some comments being made that the 1290 Epson driver has an improved dither (or something like that) pattern over the 1280. Is this something that would be worth doing or are there any pitfalls? I am using my 1280 using the MIS UT inkset and Roarke curves and have not yet had a clog....

Jerry,

With the UT inkset, you should stick with the 1280 driver. I have not
written 1290 UT curves. I recommend 1290 owners use the 1280 driver and
curves for the UT inkset. (The 1280 driver problems I ran into were with
the VM inkset. For some reason they didn't show up with the UT inkset.)
