Piezotones for Canons and the Piezography ICC

Piezotones for Canons and the Piezography ICC

2003-12-04 by Editor P.O.V. Image Service

I wondered if anyone on here (perhaps a piezography user or someone who
is on Jon's Piezo List) knows something about this before I go ahead and
call Jon.

For a good while, stretching back to last year's PhotoExpoPlus,
InkJetMall said that the new PiezoTones would be coming soon for the
Canon S900 and S9000... As last as last month, they were listed on
InkJetMall as having a projected availability of November 30th.

Unfortunately, with the most recent site updates there, I can't find any
mention at all of PiezoTone inks for the Canons, though, there is a
mention that the new plugin itself can support "some Canon printer models."

I'm wondering if they actually have dropped (at least for now) trying to
create PiezoTones that would work with the S9000 and S900 class printer
heads..?

And BEFORE anyone starts assuming I'm attacking Jon or InkJetMall by
asking this question. I run a Canon printer list where people are
actively looking for B&W printing options. I was hoping to actually
give Jon a boost by mentioning the release there (everyone gets a fair
shake on new product introductions), and had, in the past, already
stated on that list that the inkset was "coming soon, according to
InkJetMall's site."

If the PiezoTones, contrary to all the prior news from InkJetMall, are
NOT going to be an option in the near term or the foreseeable future for
these printers, it would be nice to know..
