My personal view is that you're not missing a thing with the lower
cost MIS system. (OK, others may differ) You've just refused to fall
into the trap of believing more expensive is better.
I love my MIS CFS with UT inks but always suggest others try carts
first. Much lower costs to try and a bit simpler as well.
Switching to color with a 1280 can be done without cleaning carts and
is not too hard. Just pop out the b&w carts (CFS or otherwise) pop in
color carts, run a cleaning cycle and you're set to go. However
pulling out CFS carts is always a bit risky as the CFS may not work
right when you put them back in. I find another printer for color is
just more reliable.
