This message is in response to "Pyro Negatives" reproduced below.

I posted the following on two discussion threads at photo.net today, so get
it while you can.

"It is now October, 2001, and I have been searching for the Nikon 8000ED.
All vendors in USA seem to be backordered. There is one new one on Ebay
currently (auction ends in about a day), but you can bypass the auction and
buy directly from the seller at the link below. They had four (now three) in
stock. The Canadian version is not bundled with the genuine Fractals
software, and you can only get warranty service in Canada.

Subject: [piezoBW] Pyro negatives

I am trying to move into digital printing. I am trying to buy the new
Nikon 8000 ED scanner, can't find one. I have been reading about the
Cones Piezography. I don't live in a large city where much of this
type of work is done or displayed. I would love to see the results of
Piezoraphy and other Quad methods up close and in person. That would
help me make up my mind which way to go.. Until then I am lurking
around gathering knowledge, and getting a feel for what others
think.
One thing I am wondering, is how well pyro negatives will scan. Does
anyone have any experience with pyro negatives and film scanners?
