I'm not using it, but look here:

There seem to be Windoze versions there.

and the makers are here:

Pixel Picasso for Windows???

2003-12-20 by Tom OConnell

Anyone heard ANYTHING about developments on Pixel Picasso for
windows??? For that matter, is anyone using it for MAC???

This sounded like such a cool RIP and they went on radio silence. My
first contact with them indicated a fall release of a windows
version...ok...lots of creative types grew up on macs, so I can see
why they want to do the intial development there, but it has to be an
enormously greater market for windoze now...what business in the
world can afford to work for a profit and only satisfy 3% of the
market???

I'm just wondering if this was vaporware or is real...could be an
important issue as the new Epson 4000 comes out and the price of the
rip goes up significantly from the 2200...

What gives?

cheers,

Tom O'Connell

Tom;

I am not defending them, but 3% of the operating system market might still
be more than many small companies are prepared to support. There are
probably a lot of reasons why people fail to deliver product and one reason
might be a fear of opening the door to the massive MS Windows market.

You can get too much of a good thing!

Of course, and uh, it is and always has been windows only. At least
the full RIP version.

unless you are refering to the plugin only version, which would be
cross platform (if it's out), that would be a miracle.

If you look at Clayton's comparison page you'll see it up against
other systems.

Well... I must have the wrong product...

About 6 months ago, everyone here was raving about a RIP that
would "wipe out" Image Print but was only available for MAC.

or am I having a serious senior moment? (what else is new <g>)

You're thinking of Bowhaus InkjetControl. Read the very recent thread
'Bauhaus crashed'. Seems like development is halted and that its future
is uncertain.
