It seems that they have some problems, indeed. Their site claims that
prefilled cartridges with the new quads will be available in 3 weeks, but
I've been readign that message daily for at least a couple of months, and I
got an unanswered email, too, recently, about this and other issues. There
was even a tool on their site to chat with someone from the tech department,
but it disappeared a few months ago.

I would love to buy some (and another CFS) but I can't
get MIS to answer emails (three tries with a simple
question).

Have they completely abandoned customer service???

[Digital BW] MIS Color Archival Inks

Some of us who have dealt a fair amount with Bob Zeiss at MIS are convinced
"MIS" is Bob and his wife -- that's it. I've never met the man, and I don't
get most of my e-mails answered either. From what I can tell he is totally
inundated with work. He seems reluctant to add any staff. All this aside,
the information and the materials I have received from Bob have been
excellent.

What I do is call Bob on his toll-free number -- 800-445-8296.

(NO need to tell him I encouraged this!)

[Digital BW] India Ink

2001-10-10 by Carolyn Frayn

I have a question for those in the know... If India Ink is archival, why can
it not be used in a quad printing system? Stupid question???

I assume it's a viscosity or particle size issue.

not refined enough to make it through an epson head.

Most Carbon Pigment Black inks are pretty good now, though.
