confused about Roark's paper type settings with UT-2 inks
2004-01-05 by Mike Sommers
I just read thru Roarks info & settings page for the UT-2 inks. http://home1.gte.net/res0a2zt/UT2-Info-word.htm I'm curious about the different Media Types he suggests, depending on the workflow method you choose. For the "Slider Controls Method," he suggests "Matte Paper - Heavyweight" if using EEM paper. For the Image Editor Adjustment Curves Method," he suggests "Photo Paper" regardless of the actual paper type (or so it seems). Can anyone shed some light on why you wouldn't use the same media type setting for each of these methods? FYI, using the original UT inkset and Roark's curves on EEM paper, I get much smoother gradients with the "Photo Paper" setting, as opposed to the "Matte Paper - Heavyweight" setting. Thanks, Mike
