Hi Paul, as you know, I am a 1290 user and sent you a load of ramp
prints.
I have to say that I am very happy with the performance of the UT2
inkset. I have recently changed to PS CS and when using 16bit prior
to applying curves I am getting super prints.
They may NOT be as good as the 1280 correct prints - I don't know,
but they are a huge, huge improvement on what I was getting with the
UT1 set and the original VM set using 1280/1290 curves.
You may find that the 1290 user base is actually more than satisfied
with the results.
I would dearly like a copy of any new curves if you feel results
could be improved further, but I for one am pretty pleased with my
new set-up.
I have taken my UT1 set out of my second printer already.
Thanks for your ongoing support.
Steve
