I have laminated using 1.3 mil gloss material. The heat doesn't affect carbon 
pigments, but the gloss will affect the Dmax. The blacks will be blacker and 
the delicate definiton from 100%k to 99, 98, etc. will be reduced or 
eliminated. You may want to do a special tone curve to compensate.
