Blue toner for MIS original quadtone inkset?
2004-02-15 by njfranknj
I have lots of ink from the original MIS pigment quadtone inkset, but would like to get rid of the inherent brown tone: can I buy or make a blue toner ink to put in one or more of the slots? Can I, for instance, use the blue toner from one of the other inksets that Paul has developed with the original pigments? I realize that I will have to do some curve developing - any idea how much? Would it be like starting from scratch or just correcting the toner curve? MIS used to have some info on toning-your-own, but I don't see it on the current webpage. I would consider adding some C & M pigment ink from my unused 1200 color inkset to one or more of the inks in the original quadtone set, too. Thanks for any info, Frank
