Digital BW, The Print

have spent all evening printing 8x12"s from my new hp 7660 and have 
to say that it is really working out fantastically.  I can still trip 
it up with certain grainy images in the dithering, but NeatImage or 
other tricks minimize these problems and they are minor limitations 
anyway, but I also got a chance to have my friend compare an 
identical print from the 7660 to one from a 2200+IP... and guess 
what?  The 2200+IP is better when you really look.  But as my friend 
commented, "That you are even seriously comparing a $130 printer to a 
$1000 semi-pro printing system is remarkable in itself."  The 7660 
output is amazingly good.
