Hi all,
just a quick word on the print permanence issue.

Like many I cannot say I am completely comfortable selling my
work without having some degree of confidence when I state
how long a print should last, if displayed correctly .

However, pop into your local art gallery and ask them how long
they estimate one of their 3 to 4 hundred dollar, limited edition,
glorified posters will last. Was it in this group or another where I
read a posting that there were serious archival issues with this
printing process?

As one of our group stated, if we can just get firmanswers to the
various printer/paper/ink combo's and they're related longevity
and decide which one we feel best using . If asked we could
relay the info, it's then up to the buyer. Ofcourse IMHO a whole
different twist is put on the sale if we're talking about limited
edition, numbered prints. I personally wouldn't go down this
road, yet.

All the best
Shaun
