Announcement of My Photo Show

2004-03-29 by Roy Harrington

Hi All -- especially those in the SF Bay area,

I just finished hanging a show of some of my California Desert Images.
These are primarily from Death Valley and the surrounding area.

I have the show spread over two locations in Los Altos. Gallery 9 is
a cooperative gallery that houses the majority of the show and my own
studio/gallery only 6 doors down has an extension of the show and my
work area.

Gallery 9
143 Main St.
Los Altos, CA 94022
Hours: Tues-Sat, 11:30 to 5:30

Harrington Photo
127 Main St.
Los Altos, CA 94022

Show Dates
March 30 -- May 1
Reception
Friday April 2, 5:30 - 8:30

For anyone making a trip to see it -- email me and I'll see if I can
be available.

The images are the main attraction but since there's bound to be
questions here's some of the technical details:
Large Format 4x5 film
Epson 3200 flatbed scanner
Epson 7500 printer
My own custom inks based on MIS UltraTone and UltraTone-2
(black, 3 grays, cool toner, and sepia toner) printed on
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag using QuadToneRIP

Prints are mostly on 17x22 paper plus a few very large 24x30.

Come visit.
Roy

Hi Tom,

The show is up till the end of April. I'm around on weekends for the most
part, but not likely there the entire day. Saturdays are probably better but
I would be willing to set up a time when its convenient.

Photo Show +++ Unbiased PLUG

2004-03-30 by Tom OConnell

Hey Everyone--

Roy brought just of few of these prints to our Bay Area BW Printers
meeting last week.

THEY ARE THE BEST DIGITAL PRINTS I HAVE EVER SEEN !!!

No qualification...the best. If you are serious about making
excellent BW prints, you HAVE to see these to know what is possible.

16x20 and 20x24 prints that have the quality most of us can get in
8x10 and smaller. Amazing...

Good luck, Roy.

Tom O'Connell

Congratulations and best wishes for your show Roy. I'd love to be there to see your
prints, but I can't make it out to the west coast in April.
