Update on Jerry Olson Memorial Exchange

Update on Jerry Olson Memorial Exchange

2004-04-07 by Tom OConnell

Hi all-

Just thought that those of you who participated in the Jerry Olson
Memorial exchange would like an update on the disposition of the
extra set of prints we sent to his mother.

She handed them over to a friend at the University who, in turn,
organized a benefit for the Humane Societ Cat Fund (Jerry's favorite
charity) and included our prints in the items that were auctioned off.

I received the following email today from Jerry's friend, Gary:

>>I thought you may like to know. We had the art auction in March and
we sold 60 of the 210 prints. I gave the Humane Soc almost $300 in
Jerry's name. The best part though is that some 60 photo students
came to look at the prints and I beleive some menbers of your group
will get a email from some of them.I want to thank you and the
menbers of your group who let yor prints be sold. The art gallery is
not very well run so I advertised hard. Well thanks again and please
pass my thanks to the group. Gary Redman<<

Thanks again to all of you who made this happen.

Thanks for the update Tom.. I'm gladdened to see that they went to a
good cause that Jerry would have approved of... Wish he was still here.
