Can anyone reccomend a archival double-sided paper and ink combo? I will be printing on 11x17 on paper to be bound in books. I haven't yet purchased a printer and therefore am totally open. Any suggestions are appreciated! I am open to true monochrome or color inks. I would love to simulate the traditional semi-gloss photo book and don't care much about the tactile appeal of fine art paper. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello, I am pretty sure that www.lexjet.com carries a double sided semi-gloss. the Hahnemuhle is a matte paper - quite beautiful, and you could coat it with Clearshield Clearcoat. It is supposed to offer durability and it gives the matte paper a satin finish. I am testing it this weekend and I will let you know how the surface looks. http://www.lexjet.com/lexjet/search.asp?q1=duo the 316 may be too thick for book pages, but maybe the 196g ? good luck, Ashley On Friday, April 9, 2004, at 08:44 PM, jadreon_keller wrote: > Can anyone reccomend a archival double-sided paper and ink combo? > I will be printing on 11x17 on paper to be bound in books. > > I haven't yet purchased a printer and therefore am totally open. > > Any suggestions are appreciated! Premium Photo Semi-Gloss Two Sided http://www.photowarehouse.biz/premier.html It's a microporous paper, so, I would recommend pigmented inks. >Can anyone reccomend a archival double-sided paper and ink combo? There are several 2-sided papers available. These two come to mind, maybe others will add to the list: - H. PhotoRag has a 2-side version - Hawk Mtn. Condor BW is 2-sided (those are 100% cotton archival papers. Epson makes a wood pulp based 2-side paper, I forget what it's called...) >I haven't yet purchased a printer and therefore am totally open. Lots of choices here, an entire subject on its own. Several questions to answer 1) How big do you want to print? 2) Do you want to print color and BW on the same printer? 3) Do you want archival prints?
