[Digital BW] Re: CIS with 1160

you essentially never need to replace your carts so long as ink will pass through them. If you decide that using the vacuum pump method to fill them is the only way that you want to charge your system you should be able to just plug them with anything you want (MIS supplies aluminum rivets that could easily be purchased as a hardware store) and redo that, but if you have ink in your tubes you have to go through the whole hassle of cleaning or replacing them. Personally, I replace them. I only used my vacuum pump for the first filling, but had to replace tubes many times because the MIS black ink clogs the tube. There is no science to this stuff. You need to get your lines full and your carts about half full and then everything works. mark --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Glenn Barry" <glennrbarry@o...> wrote: > What about replacing the plugs in the bottom like those that were available > for the re-fillable (not-cis) carts, that will be cheaper than replacing the > whole cartridge system. > > Glenn > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Andre" <am1000@v...> > To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Sent: Saturday, April 17, 2004 11:12 AM > Subject: [Digital BW] Re: CIS with 1160 > > > > --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "byushooter" > > <jellerbe@j...> wrote: > > > Thanks Andre for the quick reply.
