If I were you, I'd call Adobe and ask if this site is sanctioned by
them. If it is not, you will be getting a stolen serial number which
will, most likely, make the current version work but will not work if
you chose to upgrade in the future. It will also null and void any tech
help you may need. And of course there is then the risk of virus woes
with pirated software.

I found out all about this when I purchased Adobe GoLive thru a site
then later tried to upgrade. The stress and frustration aren't worth the
savings in my opinion. And the link I purchased from appeared to be
directly linked to Adobe. Now I only by software at a store, in person.

Lesson #356 learned the hard way.

Subject: [Digital BW] Photoshop CS for $99

Anyone have any experience with this web site selling Photoshop CS
for $99: http://www.ibackups.net/

It shows up as a Yahoo Sponsored Links when one signs up for a group
like the Photokit Yahoo group. Or is this just another web site
trying to get your credit card number for unauthorized use ? And
would Yahoo be liable in that case ?

Cheers,
Andre

What Lea said.

I bought PS7 from buysusa.com. The graphics on the CD and CD insert were
of low quality, as if printed on an inkjet printer. They bill it as
"bundled software". I have my doubts.

I returned it for a refund. Didn't get one even though they said they
would. Ended up having to go through the dispute process with my credit
card company.

I cannot understand why Adobe is not hauling these outfits to court.

If it sounds too good to be true....

You will note that when you purchase this software,
you are CERTIFYING that you ALREADY OWN A COPY OF THE
SOFTWARE and this is only to be used as a "Backup"
copy of the software you already own.

Kind of a "loophole" so they can continue to operate
legally.

No, legally.

From what I understand, they have prevailed in
lawsuits brought against them (presumably including
Adobe).
