With regard to the Eboni ink UT7-T0348-UTK in UT7, is it the same as
the ARC-T0348-K that is recommended for BO printing?

Thanks!

Do these inks require a separate 2200 dedicated to B&W? I really
want to use them as I have been very satisfied with the MIS VM inks
in my old 870 but I want to print 13x19 B&W on my 2200. Can I go
back & forth between the color & B&W inksets if I do a cleaning
cycle in between? Or would that be too costly in terms of wasted ink.

Thanks!

Some do this. Frankly I don't have a dedicated color printer. I just stick
in color MIS pigs (or OEM C84 pigs) when I need color. It's a bit of a
hassle, but I don't do enough color (or have enough room in my office) for a
dedicated color printer.

Switching from color to BW requires as many as five or six cleaning
cycles. Going the other way from BW to color only requires a few cycles.
If you're refilling from bottles the ink costs will be insignificant,
but if you're buying the prefilled cartridges you probably don't want to
make the switch too often.

I've switched inkset many times, and have had no problems apart from the
neccessary cleaning cycles.
