Digital BW, The Print

How do I get an excellent print from the 2000p.

I've scanned in a B/W rather contrasty print into my Mac OS X operating  
system at 1600 dpi.  I am printing on Epson watercolor paper 13 x19.  How do 
I get the very best print possible?
