Hello Iban,
I have an R800 which does quite well with color using the Epson
special ICC files for each paper. However, printing BW on Premium
Glossy gives a print with significant color changes under different
lights, reaching an obvious purple with flourescent. The Matte gives
less metamerism, but tends to greenish areas, again worst under
flourescent light. The effects will vary with the print . In general,
an 8x10 under glass will not be noted by the average viewer.
There is no utlility to del with the problems at the current time.
Among the desktops, only the HP 7960 or similar HPs (7660) can give a
true neutral print. However, the HPs often cause linear roller tracks
on the prints. In the meantime, the R800 can be used with sepia toning
in PS to give good prints if they are suitable for such toning.
