I've tried slides from a variety of places, such as slides.com, which is a
standard large scale provider that some folks swear by. However, I couldn't
get much satisfaction going this route. Not sharp enough and the colors
were usually off. The machines that most commercial establishments use are
designed for output of powerpoint slides. I ended up making my own slides
by photographing 16x20 prints of my work, even though the work was
printed from digital files. This is also significantly cheaper than getting the
slides from digital files. You only need to balance the film to the light and
