Source for Epson Enhance Matte?

Source for Epson Enhance Matte?

2004-06-20 by Randy Rancier

Seems that EEM is as standard for many of you; and sounds like it is
a good paper to use before commiting to a rag paper, having a
similar print profile as some of the popular rag papers.

Being that I am currently on an extreme budget, what is the least
expensive source of EEM and perhaps other papers that you might
suggest. I will be using MIS EZ inks on a C84 for B&W as well as
doing some color.

Thanks for you input!

Randy;

If you live outside of Florida (i.e. no sales tax) it's hard to beat
Atlantic exchange for Epson products: www.atlex.com

I wait until CompUSA has one of their occasional internet coupons for
50% off any paper in the store, then it's $8 a box of 50 sheets
8.5x11. I buy everything, usually 8-10 boxes, they have in stock. If
they have A3, I stock up there as well.

You just have to be willing to stock up when it's cheap.

Randy,

I cannot buy EEM locally, so I learned to print with
EHM (a blessing in disguise). I prefer the look and
feel of Epson Heavyweight Matte for quadtone printing,
as it does not have an atomic white surface.

From my viewers who do not know why or what I print
with, I usually get the same response - "the blacks
look velvety." It is a beautiful paper often
overlooked as it is one of Epson's lowest priced
papers. It seems that Office Max has it half off
every other week, but it is about $12/50 sheets
normally.
