Digital BW, The Print

Hi,
   I'm new to the group(and to the world of the digital darkroom) 
and have a simple question.  I recently purchased a Stylus 2200 and 
am in need of calibration software.  I'm unsure which is best as I'm 
on a bit of a budget.  I'll be using the printer primarily for B and 
W but also some color.  Right now I mostly scan in negatives and 
slides from a Canoscan FS4000   Been looking at Spyder as it is 
recommended here.  I guess my real question is- do I need the 
Spyderpro Suite or can I survive with the basic package?  Or is 
there something else altogether better?  Any help is greatly 
appreciated.
