I was amazed that the SF MOMA had in their permanent "holdings" a collection of very large "white on white on white" and some plain old "WHITE" canvases hanging on the wall in an exhibit of the permanent collection. I thought "My tax dollars bought that!"

I wish they would not "beholding" that type of art when so much more enjoyable (to the Proles...of which I am one) art exists and is under exhibited and appreciated. I am thinking of some of the realists who were neglected during the 70's and 80's.

Yet I bet more discussion seems to be about the white canvases, hmmmm

Actually I have seen some nice exhibits of the realists, while minimal
canvases such as those usually only get one spot per permanent exhibit
show.
