Re: CondorBW with UT2 inkset/Clayton's review
2004-07-27 by André
I've just tested a sample pack from Hawk papers, printing the same image with the same settings for all the papers, using UT-FSN inks. I second Clayton's observations on Condor BW and Merlin Smooth. The only problem seems to be that Hawk's website only list those two papers in 13x19 and bigger sizes. Merlin Photo, which seems very much like Merlin Smooth has letter size though. Seems extremely odd to me,but that's the way it is... Any explanations? Message: 12 Date: Mon, 26 Jul 2004 17:22:32 -0000

Which neutral UT2 curve >should I use with the CondowBW paper? >Has anyone compared CondorBW with William Turner? I'm not a UT user but I have compared these papers. I just posted a review of papers at the web site below (#5 in the series). Condor and WT are at the farthest opposite ends of the cold/warm spectrum. Condor has both the whitest paper color and the coldest ink color, and WT is just the opposite on the warm side. These ink color ratings are based on how the papers render Eboni ink by itself. I'm interested to hear for anyone who has used UT inks on these papers. Regards, Clayton
