PINS BENT ON EPSON 1280

I inadvertantly put in a cartridge without a chip on it. Is there
any hope for me?????

Johnny, so sorry for you. Done that. Fortuantely mine was under
warranty and Epson sent me a new printer.

I did the same thing to my 2100. I discovered the pin lying on top of
the waste pad, and the printer would read random cartridges as empty. I
just used a pair of tweezers to put the pin back in place, then I had to
bend it a little bit before the printer started working again. I have to
do this every time I change cyan cartridges now, so I'm just waiting for
the pin to break in two one of these days, then I'll have to send it in
for service.

If your pin is still in one piece you can try the same thing, you have
nothing to lose.
