Digital BW, The Print

Hi all, 

I'm buying a new scanner for scanning B&W negatives,
mainly 4x5, but occasionally MF and 35mm as well.
Output will be on my Epson 2200, usually.

I've had a Epson 2450 until now, and I've just assumed
that I should trade up to the 4870, but looking at
today's Calumet mailer I was reminded that the 
Microtek i900 is also available at the top of my 
price range.

If anyone has an opinion about whether there is a 
clear choice here, I'd love to hear it; feel free 
to email me directly if this is too off-topic.
