Nikon 9000 Film Scanner

Nikon 9000 Film Scanner

Is this scanner available in the US yet? It seems to be available in Europe from what I can
tell but the price in the UK is a joke vs the US. I have been watching B&H but it says Out of
Stock.

I bought one in the US in March? or about then. Works great, once I
learned how to scan.

Ordered a Nikon 9000 for a client in May and just got it a few weeks ago...seems like a
supply problem or Nikon can't make them fast enough.

It's a pretty sweet machine. I'm a NAPP member - http://www.photoshopuser.com/ - and
with a corporate discount at PCMall.com the 9000 cost $1833.00US

John

Did that include taxes? That's a great price. I believe the price at B&H is
$1,999 + tax. What is it about the Brits that they just love taking it up
the proverbial...the 9000 costs £2,001 + 17.25% VAT (sales tax) in the UK!!
That's $4,223 in total!! I am going to fly to the US and pick one up or
have one brought over for me...only problem is they don't seem to be
available.

Cheers

No taxes as it was purchased out of state...sorry to add insult to injury!

I don't know why there is never a one in stock? When the 9000 was finally a=
vailable PCMall
had them listed in stock for about a day then gone.

Geez for $4, 223.00 you would be better off buying a used Howtek drum scann=
er.

You just got to love the way the US govt manages its finances. Well there
is no way I am paying $4k for any scanner :-) As soon as I can get my hands
on one I will have it delivered to New York and then have it brought back
here or, as I said, I'll jump on the plane to pick it up. If anyone knows
where I can get one please let me know. John, let me know if you can share
that price... ;-)

Well, my sister-in-law bought one from a local retailer here a couple of
months ago or so for USD2,000. I've been meaning to get over there and see
how it works, but no time yet.
