QuadToneRIP for E4000

QuadToneRIP for E4000

2004-09-16 by Richard Wolfson

I've been following reports on Roy Harrington's QuadToneRIP for Windows
with great interest. But it currently works only with the Epson
2100/2200, which I don't have. The QuadTonePC page on Roy's web site
says "Support for the other printers including the new Epson 4000 will
be available shortly."

Since I do have a 4000, I'd love to know what time frame that might be.
Any guestimate, Roy?

thanks,
Richard Wolfson

Though I am using an Epson 9000 with Ultratone VM, I also would
like to know how far development is right now. Several functions
that are available in the Mac version still have to be implanted.
I also wonder whether it is possible for the user to make the
9000 curves already. There's a Spectrometer here.

Mike Chaney seems to be willing to add greyscale output to Qimage
(no time frame though) so that should give us a good frontend.
