Digital BW, The Print

OK, let's get back to B&W. I bought a little Epson Picturemate recently to 
print longlife 6x4 color prints, and was very surprised to find it had a B&W 
setting that produced very neutral prints, straight out-of-the-box. It uses 
High-gloss Ultrachrome color inks, but without looking under a microscope I 
couldn't tell whether all the inks were used for the B&W prints or not. It 
uses CMYKRB inks on a gloss paper, with very little gloss difference. A sign 
of things to come from Epson?
