What is a better printer for BO printing

What is a better printer for BO printing

2004-10-20 by panmedia

Any recommendation on what is the better printer for Black Only printing?

I tried on my Epson C82 using original Epson ink. It seems it is
producing very heavy (black) prints.

Thanks,

Most serious BO users that I know of are using either the 1280 or the
2200, with Eboni Ink. The letter size 870 also does an excellent job.
Just about anything with 4pl or smaller variable droplets and 1440 or
greater resolution will do a good job (except the R800 which according
to users doesn't allow BO).

The density of a BO print depends a lot on the driver settings. If
you haven't read the BO articles on my web site (link below), it's
worth having a look. It discusses in detail what settings to use,
etc.
