damper replacemnet 7000 ?

2004-10-24 by sdmey4@aol.com

I have just replaced the 6 dampers in a 7000 my first time. The old dampers
of course had ink in them, the new dampers do not. How do they fill? When I
turn on the printer? They don't seem very tight, are they supposed to snap in?
I suspect if there is not a good vacum than its not going work.
Wondering what to expect at this point and afraid to go further.

When I replaced the dampers on my client's 7000 the first two snapped in but the rest
didn't make a sound and I got a little concerned but tried to pull them out and they were
tight so I think it's ok.

I'd just do the KK2 cleaning to fill the dampers, then do a nozzle check.
