MIS Color Pigmented Inks for Epson 1280

It has been my understanding that Epson's pigmented color inks are to be used on the Epson 2000 and a few others, however, for the Epson 1270 & 1280 these inks would cause a clogging problem...Is it possible to use the MIS color pigmented in both the 1270 & 1280? Please forgive me if this subject has been covered before... Grady
