Re: [Digital BW] Hewlett packard HP 130

Hi Dave, After seeing the output from a Designjet 30 at a PS seminar I attended, I ordered a couple of sample prints from HP. If you haven't done this already, I'd recommend it. Not too many reviews around, yet, on these two printers, but I've read a few positive things about the DJ 130 from Neil Snape. He is somehow related to HP so it would probably be to his best interest to not say anything negtive. I can tell you that the sample prints I have are really very good. But, you have to like the RC-based look to your images because you're VERY limited as to what papers are usable. When comparing similar color images of mine (mostly on EVFA off an Epson 2200 - UC inks), I much prefer the warmer colors and rag paper look of my prints. If I were buying up to this size nowadays, I'd probably go with the new Epson 4000. A little more money, but you're not locked in. Hope this helps. Alan Huntley
