Sprays

I know I have seen various sprays for digital prints. What have
people used that they consider excellent for color ultrachrome prints
(Epson 2200)? Also, any experience or need for sprays on piezography
prints (Epson 1280 with piezo inks)? Thanks.

Hi Mike,
I use Premier Art Print Shield spray om Epson Enhanced Matte, (it
everso slightly adds a bit of dmax). Two coats, one after the first
dries (15 minutes or so at room temp)

On Velvet Fine atr paper I use Lascaux. Stiiiinky but no shine
whatsoever, two coats, almost immediatly.

Both applied after the prints have dried thoroughly, at least
overnight, IMO.

Cheers

Jules

Mike,

My tests and Wilhelm's indicate the PremierArt Print Shield significantly
extends the life of UC inks. However, on matte paper, it reduces the dmax.
So, I use PremierArt on glossy paper only, and I use Lascaux Fixativ on
matte paper, which will reduce dmax much less but also not give as much fade
protection as the PremierArt spray.

For PremierArt see www.ITSupplies.com.

For Lascaux, see

Hope this helps.
