Epson 1280 driver changes

Epson 1280 driver changes

2004-12-08 by jim0266

Finally moved off my G4 to a dual G5. In the process I downloaded the
Epson driver for my 1280. I could not find the previous settings I had
on my G4. Finally went back and looked at that computer, to see that I
had driver 1.66 installed. The current driver is 1.91.

The new Epson driver no longer has the 1440 and 2880 setting under
custom. Instead there is Fine, Photo, Best Photo and Photo RPM. After
some Googling it looks like the Best Photo setting is 1440 and Photo
RPM (whatever that means...) is 2880. Can anyone confirm this?

Any other weirdness Epson has thrown our way in this new driver?

Thanks,
Jim

To answer my own question, yes the Best Photo setting is 1440 from the
looks of my test prints. I had a clog at the time that letting sit
overnight cleared.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
