Digital BW, The Print

Hello folks,

I am proud to be a part of this newsgroup,especially since we have 
such talented and dedicated members such as Roy Harrington; who has 
not only offered us the wonderful QuadTone RIP for both the MAC 
users ,but also the Windows users also. I've been working in digital 
and BW printing for about 2.5 years and now, with the aid of QTR and 
the newly introduced LAB grayscale space; am able to produce prints 
that I only dreamed of at the beginning of my digital journey. I am 
astounded at the simplicity of the workflow now after the additions 
to our photographic arsenal of the two items from Roy. Not to slight 
Paul Roark who has been instrumental in providing the workflow and 
curves for MIS UT2 inks, along with other offerings from both him and 
MIS, I use both techniques and tools in my endeavors to put on paper 
what I see and feel at the time of exposure. Both are tools of the 
photographer that I feel will enable all of us to realize our 
potential as image creators if we apply ourselves to the image making 
and duly apply ourselves to the print process. Now with these tools 
at our disposal, I think the sky's the limit. Thanks again to Roy and 
Paul.
