Digital BW, The Print

I am planning on installing the Quad Tone Rip on my Mac to print on an 
Epson 4000. I do not have a rip installed I use the Epson driver for my color 
printing.
I am interested in hearing any advice or suggestions anyone has to offer.  Just 
looking over the instructions, it seems a little complicated.
