Mark,

I posted the first message to your new group to get the ball rolling. Great
idea.

Hi

I have just started a group to deal with this issue called
Digital Black and White printing - Non Epson. It can be found at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBWnotEpson/

It is not meant as a rival to this group, but an alternative. I use
MIS inks on an Epson 1290 and have used Epson printers to make black
and white prints for years, but discussions about non-Epson related
technologies tend to die quickly on this group if they ever get
started at all.

Now I also have a DesignJet 130 and am struggling to make BW prints
with that and it would be interesting to share experiences about
non-Epson printers.

So give it a try.

Thanks for your time,

Mark

I use the very basic HP Deskjet 5550 and B&W prints (using their ink
and their paper) knock me off my feet.

I can't wait to drift into Epson to see how it translates my B&W.
