Ok....you asked, from our FAQ: :- )

We don't really type in our 'formal' business name, which is SK©ID. When we use it in our correspondence, we
use a graphics program and the '©' is half size, centered top to bottom. If we use the © full size people
call us SKOID, which is wrong (well, we think it is). There is a long story (aren't they all!) that goes with
how we got our name, so if you really, really want to know, here goes:

In the club world, where/when we started our business, it was customary for one to have a name that
represented some sort of alter ego...There were denizens of the night like: 'Sacred Boy', 'D-vious', 'Miss
Understood', etc. And we needed a name....

In June of 1992 we were invited to attend an event at the Limelight night club here in the city. Basically,
promoters like to have photogs on hand to do shots so they can get placed in the dailies and subsequently,
garner publicity for their events. Well, this event we went to was called "Playgirls Of Power", co-sponsored
by Playgirl Magazine. The event itself was to celebrate the release of a porn movie directed by former porn
star Candida Royale. Part of the entertainment for said event were some of the Playgirl centerfolds dancing
with attendees and posing for pix. They seemed very uptight and distressed by the whole thing, and we thought
they were dickheads. If you shorten that to just 'dicks' and then spell it backwards, voila!, you have
SK©ID!! Hence, the beginning of the business, the name, and the legend. ;- )

And now you will never be able to forget our name. :-D
