Digital BW, The Print

I think there may be a problem with QTRgui automatically printing files dropped into the monitor folder.

What I have experienced is that when attempting to Save As the same image file name from Photoshop, I often get file save errors which implies to me that the QTRgui has the file open (while printing it I assume). 

It seems that QTRgui should be (or is not properly) copying the file to a temporary folder, renaming it to some unique name, and then printing it. 

Other times it appears the original file saved to the Print Queue folder is not deleted after printing so doing additional Save As's to the same file name does not result in the file being printed. Even deleting the file and then saving it again does not result in the file being printed. I have to exit and restart QTRgui for the file to be seen and printed.

Much of what I am doing is saving successive versions of the same image file to get different prints.

Has anyone else seen anything like this? Should this be submitted as a bug report?

When QTRgui discovers a TIFF in the monitored folder, it first tries to open
it exclusive to be sure that the file is not in use by some other program.
If it cannot open it exclusive, it will pass over the file and try again
later. Once it has determined that no other application has the file open,
if renames the file changing the folder to the "Processed" folder, then
prints from that folder.
 
QTRgui does not delete the file unless told to do so when a file of the same
name already exists in the processed folder. And then, it only deletes files
in the "processed" folder. 
 
If the file is still in the original monitored folder, then QTRgui has not
printed it. Perhaps your application has not released it.
