Re: refilling

Re: refilling

2005-01-20 by Jack Winberg

Hi Everyone:

There has been a lot of mention on this list about the need to have extra
chips on hand for refilling. It has also been said that chip replacement
is easy. I gather that these chips can either be ordered or removed from
empty cartridges. Could somebody PLEASE point me to a description of the
procedure for removing and replacing these chips for the 2200, as well as
the MIS (0r other) page for ordering new ones?

I ordered ink (UC 7600) and the EZ fill cartridges for my 2200 from MIS,
and they are out of stock on the empty cartridges, but said they expect
them in this week. Perhaps the hole will be correctly drilled in the black
cartridge, I sure hope so!

Many thanks.................Jack Winberg

MIS has instructions:

http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/chip_swap.html

good luck, and keep us posted. I'm about to do exactly what you're
doing. Hope they get the 2200 empty carts in-stock soon.

Jack,

I'm trying to do the same thing that you are. 2200 with UC 7600
inks.

Could you check my shopping list? Since they don't have a kit, and
you have to go all over to find all the parts.

Any insight, tips, etc... would be appreciated.

Move to quarantaine
